A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a VAT Manager to join a well-established, UK-focused organisation in a highly visible in-house tax role.
This position offers a blend of technical VAT advisory work, strategic project involvement and stakeholder engagement, making it an excellent opportunity for an experienced indirect tax professional looking to broaden their in-house experience.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Providing VAT advisory support across a diverse range of UK business activities and entities.
- Managing and maintaining existing Partial Exemption Special Method (PESM) frameworks, ensuring they remain effective and fit for purpose.
- Delivering practical VAT advice on business initiatives, transactions and operational matters.
- Supporting a significant SAP transformation programme, with involvement in tax technology, systems optimisation and process improvement projects.
- Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders and acting as a trusted VAT advisor across the business.
We're keen to speak with candidates who have:
- Strong VAT advisory experience, gained either in-house or within a professional services environment.
- Excellent technical VAT knowledge and the ability to apply legislation in a commercial context.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- A proactive and solutions-focused approach.
Financial Services VAT experience and exposure to PESM methodologies would be advantageous but are not essential. Candidates from a broader VAT background who can demonstrate strong technical and advisory capabilities are encouraged to apply.
