The Firm:
Our client is a leading international law firm with an outstanding reputation in the TMT space, working with a range of household name media, tech and retail clients. The firm has a distinct 'no billable hours' culture and, although they attract a significant number of their lawyers from larger City and US firms, they are culturally far removed from the larger international firms, despite their own international presence.
The Role:
The role will suit either a defendant-side media litigator or a general commercial litigator from a Top 50 UK firm looking to move into a media disputes position. The position will see you advising a range of global news and entertainment broadcasters, publishers, social media companies, online streaming services and digital content providers around pre and post-publication issues and advice concerning published content. The focus of the role will be around defamation, libel, privacy, breach of confidence, data protection and contempt disputes. The team have worked on high-profile cases defending broadcasters through to disputes with major public figures.
About You:
You will be a Commercial or Media Litigation Associate with defendant experience from a Top 50 UK law firm. You will have a clear desire to forge a long-term career in the media litigation space at one of the highest ranked firms in Europe across the TMT space.
