A Big 4 firm is recruiting a M&A Tax Associate Director to join its leading practice.

You will have the opportunity to work on some of the market's most significant transactions and, with the team experiencing substantial growth, there is a compelling business case for progression to Director and beyond.

You'll play a leading role in advising private equity funds, multinational corporates, and institutional investors on buy-side, sell-side, and merger transactions, as well as equity capital market activities including IPOs and rights issues.

The Role

  • Lead and deliver complex transactions tax engagements, advising clients on acquisitions, disposals, mergers, restructurings, and refinancing.
  • Act as a trusted adviser to clients throughout the transaction lifecycle, providing strategic tax advice on high-profile and time-sensitive deals.
  • Lead tax due diligence, structuring, and tax risk assessments across a broad range of domestic and international transactions.
  • Manage multiple deal teams simultaneously, ensuring technical excellence and timely delivery in fast-paced environments.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with private equity funds, corporate clients, legal advisers, and other transaction stakeholders.
  • Work closely with Partners on business development initiatives, proposals, and originating new opportunities.
  • Mentor, coach, and develop Managers and junior team members, helping to build the future leadership pipeline of the practice.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across Tax, Deals, and other service lines to deliver integrated solutions for clients.

About You

  • ACA and/or CTA qualified with significant experience in Transactions Tax, Corporate Tax, or a related M&A advisory environment.
  • Strong technical understanding of UK corporate tax and its application within transaction environments.
  • Proven experience managing complex transactions and leading client relationships.
  • Commercially minded with the ability to identify opportunities and provide pragmatic, solution-focused advice.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to engage at senior executive level.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and mentoring teams.
  • Ambitious and motivated to progress your career within a leading M&A Tax practice.
