I am partnering with a global professional services firm that is seeking to appoint a Transactions Tax Director to join its market leading M&A Tax practice in London. This role offers the opportunity to work on high profile, complex transactions with private equity funds, multinational groups, and fast growing businesses across a broad range of sectors.

The Role

  • Lead the delivery of tax advice on mergers, acquisitions, disposals, restructurings, and refinancing projects.
  • Act as a senior adviser to clients, providing technical insight across transaction structuring, due diligence, SPA reviews, and post deal integration.
  • Manage multiple engagements and oversee teams delivering tax due diligence reports and structuring papers.
  • Build and develop strong client relationships, acting as a key point of contact throughout the transaction lifecycle.
  • Work closely with Partners on business development initiatives, proposals, and relationship building with private equity and corporate clients.
  • Support the development of the wider Transactions Tax team through coaching, mentoring, and technical guidance.
  • Identify opportunities for cross service collaboration and contribute to the growth of the firm’s broader tax advisory offering.

About You

  • ACA or CTA qualified, or equivalent, with significant experience in transactions tax, mergers and acquisitions, or related corporate tax advisory.
  • Strong technical background in UK corporate tax with a detailed understanding of the tax issues relevant to M&A.
  • Proven experience leading complex engagements and managing multiple stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the confidence to advise senior executives and investment professionals.
  • Commercially minded and proactive, with a strong interest in business development and client relationship management.
