We are supporting an established company looking to make a Tax Reporting hire. This role is geared towards someone part/recently qualified. Ideally, you will have strong compliance and reporting skills. This could come from a practice/accounting firm or in-house environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of corporate tax provisions (quarterly and annual), including current and deferred tax calculations.
- Support the preparation of tax disclosures for inclusion in statutory accounts.
- Work with the finance team to ensure tax balances are accurately reflected in management accounts.
- Support analysis of the effective tax rate and key tax movements.
- Assist in the preparation and review of corporate tax returns and supporting schedules.
- Liaise with external advisors to gather information and respond to queries on tax reporting positions.
- Help ensure consistency between tax reporting, tax returns, and financial reports.
- Support the tax team during the year-end audit process by preparing supporting documentation.
- Respond to auditor queries relating to tax balances and disclosures.
- Assist in maintaining appropriate documentation and controls around tax reporting processes.
- Help improve the efficiency and accuracy of tax reporting processes, including data collection.
- Support the implementation and use of tax reporting tools and systems.
- Maintain organised working papers and documentation for reporting cycles.
Business Interaction
- Work closely with the finance team to obtain data required for tax reporting and compliance.
- Build relationships with internal stakeholders to support accurate and timely reporting.
- Assist with providing basic tax input on day-to-day finance queries.
