Our client, a leading real estate developer, is seeking an experienced lawyer to join a specialist team focused on a large-scale remediation programme. With a significant portfolio of live projects, this is a unique opportunity to join a high-impact team working at the intersection of construction law, disputes, and complex portfolio management.
The Role
You will play a key role in managing and coordinating remediation matters across a large number of developments, working closely with external counsel while helping bring greater capability in-house. The work is varied and hands-on, including:
- Advising on construction defects and building safety issues
- Managing construction disputes and liability analysis
- Reviewing and interpreting development documentation (building contracts, warranties, consultant appointments)
- Coordinating and overseeing external law firms
- Supporting commercial and strategic decision-making across a live project portfolio
About You
We are looking for experienced, pragmatic construction lawyers who are comfortable operating in a hands-on, delivery-focused environment. You will likely have:
- 5–10+ years' PQE (or equivalent experience)
- A background in construction and/or real estate law (contentious or mixed)
- Experience gained in a well-regarded law firm or in-house environment
- Strong understanding of construction and property documentation
- The ability to manage multiple matters and workstreams independently
