A Top 10 professional services firm is seeking to appoint a Private Tax Associate Director to join its growing Private Client Tax practice in London. This role offers the opportunity to work with a diverse portfolio of high-net-worth individuals, entrepreneurs, family offices, and privately owned businesses across a broad range of sectors.

The Role

  • Lead the delivery of complex UK tax advisory services to private clients, including income tax, capital gains tax, inheritance tax, and wider wealth structuring matters.
  • Act as a senior adviser to clients, providing technical insight across personal tax planning, succession planning, residency and domicile issues, and the use of trusts and other structures.
  • Manage multiple client engagements and oversee teams delivering high-quality tax compliance and advisory work.
  • Build and develop strong client relationships, acting as a key point of contact for individuals, families, and their advisers.
  • Work closely with Partners on business development initiatives, proposals, and relationship building with new and existing clients.
  • Support the development of the wider Private Client Tax team through coaching, mentoring, and technical guidance.
  • Identify opportunities for cross-service collaboration, including with corporate tax, transaction services, and wealth management teams.

About You

  • ACA or CTA qualified, or equivalent, with significant experience in private client tax, personal tax advisory, or related areas.
  • Strong technical background in UK private client tax, with a detailed understanding of income tax, CGT, IHT, and trust taxation.
  • Proven experience managing complex client portfolios and leading multiple engagements.
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills, with the ability to advise high-net-worth individuals and family offices.
  • Commercially minded and proactive, with a strong interest in business development and client relationship management.
