We are seeking an experienced legal professional to support a global Trade & Working Capital Solutions business within a leading international financial institution.

The role provides legal coverage across the full transaction lifecycle, including business development, structuring, execution and distribution activities, with a particular emphasis on trade finance products and solutions.

In addition to advising on transactional matters, the successful candidate will support the implementation of regulatory developments and contribute to strategic business initiatives across the wider trade and working capital platform.

Qualified lawyer with strong expertise in banking and finance law.

Experience gained within a recognised law firm or the in-house legal function of a major financial institution, with a focus on finance transactions.

Demonstrable experience advising on a broad range of lending and financing transactions, including structured and cross-border deals.

Strong technical legal capabilities, including drafting, reviewing and negotiating complex legal documentation.

Ability to quickly develop expertise in unfamiliar areas of law and provide commercially focused advice.

Proven capability to manage legal workstreams across multiple transactions and coordinate stakeholders effectively.

Knowledge of trade finance products and structures, including guarantees, standby instruments, indemnity arrangements, export credit agency-supported financings, documentary credit discounting, promissory note programmes and related cross-border considerations.

Previous in-house experience within a banking or financial services environment.

Experience supporting regulatory change programmes and business transformation initiatives.

Commercially minded with a pragmatic and solutions-oriented approach to legal issues.

This position offers the opportunity to work closely with front-office teams and senior stakeholders on complex domestic and international transactions, while helping shape the legal and regulatory framework supporting an evolving trade and working capital business.

The role would suit a lawyer who combines strong technical expertise with commercial awareness and the ability to operate effectively in a dynamic financial services environment.
