Are you an experienced Indirect Tax professional ready to step into a more senior, impactful position? We are seeking an Indirect Tax Assistant Manager to play a key role in delivering high-quality indirect tax compliance, reporting, and process development across a complex, internationally focused project. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on ownership, technical depth, and cross-functional collaboration.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead the preparation and submission of all indirect tax returns (UK, EU, and international), ensuring accuracy and timely compliance.
  • Oversee the monitoring of indirect tax data, identifying issues and driving remediation with relevant teams.
  • Support indirect tax planning, risk management, and the development of robust processes and tax strategies across the project.
  • Stay informed on UK and EU indirect tax developments and assess their impact on business operations.
  • Manage interactions with HMRC and international tax authorities, including audits and enquiries.
  • Partner with AP, AR, Procurement, and other business functions to ensure correct tax treatment across all activities.
  • Support customs-related reconciliations, import VAT reviews, and international indirect tax requirements.
  • Act as the Deputy to the Indirect Tax Manager, providing leadership and guidance across the function when required.

What You Need?

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Indirect Tax.
  • Strong technical background in customs and international VAT.
  • Solid experience managing UK and EU indirect tax compliance.
  • SAP experience is essential.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence across teams.
  • Excellent analytical capability and a high level of attention to detail.
