In-House Senior Tax Manager (Compliance & Reporting)

We are supporting an established listed business looking to make a Senior Tax Manager hire. This role will focused on the group's compliance and reporting offering. The role has a stronger weighting towards reporting (as opposed to being a 50/50 compliance/reporting split).

The role is very much a "review" role. You'll work closely with external advisors to ensure delivery.

The role:

Tax Compliance & Reporting

• Lead and oversee the group's corporate tax compliance obligations across multiple legal entities.
• Manage the preparation and review of UK and international corporate tax returns.
• Oversee quarterly and year-end tax reporting under IFRS and/or US GAAP.
• Ensure accurate tax provisioning, deferred tax calculations, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Monitor tax risks and maintain a strong tax control framework.

Wider Tax Oversight

• Support indirect tax, employment tax, transfer pricing, and operational tax matters as required.
• Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess their impact on the business.
• Lead or contribute to tax projects arising from regulatory and legislative developments.
• Assist with implementation of process improvements and technology enhancements within the tax function.

Stakeholder Management

• Manage relationships with external tax advisors, auditors, and tax authorities.
• Present tax matters and key developments to senior management and finance leadership.
• Work collaboratively across global teams to ensure consistent tax governance and compliance.

What we are looking for:

• ACA, CTA, ACCA, CA or equivalent professional qualification.
• Significant experience within corporate tax gained in a Big 4, Top 10, professional services firm, industry, or a combination of both.
• Strong understanding of corporate tax compliance and reporting requirements.
• Experience reviewing tax provisions and tax accounting calculations.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
