A leading international organisation is looking to appoint an Indirect Tax Technology Lead to sit at the intersection of Tax, Technology and the wider business, driving a strategic tax transformation agenda across Europe.
This is a high-profile opportunity for an experienced indirect tax professional with a passion for technology and process improvement. The role will be instrumental in shaping the future indirect tax technology landscape, leading the tax workstream of a major SAP S/4HANA transformation programme and enhancing existing tax technology solutions, including Vertex.
Initially focused on the European region, the position offers the opportunity to expand into a broader global remit as the transformation programme progresses.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the indirect tax technology strategy across the organisation.
- Act as the key liaison between Tax, IT, Finance and external stakeholders.
- Drive indirect tax requirements and design decisions within a large-scale SAP S/4HANA implementation.
- Oversee and optimise the indirect tax technology landscape, including management of the Vertex tax engine.
- Identify opportunities to improve tax processes, automation, reporting and data quality.
- Manage external technology providers and implementation partners.
- Lead, mentor and develop a direct report, with potential to build and scale the team over time.
About You
The successful candidate will bring a blend of indirect tax/VAT expertise and tax technology experience, with a strong understanding of ERP systems and transformation programmes. You will be comfortable influencing senior stakeholders, managing complex projects and translating business requirements into practical technology solutions.
