We are supporting an Asset Manager looking to bring a Mixed Tax Manager on board. This role will cover Direct & Indirect taxes. You'll also touch on some advisory (if this is of interest). This role would suit those who have mixed tax experience. That said, we are open to seeing those from direct or indirect tax backgrounds provided you are up for a challenge and are keen to broaden your current skillset.

Key Responsibilities

  • VAT & Indirect Tax
    • Ownership of the Group’s VAT compliance obligations, including VAT returns, reconciliations and HMRC interactions
    • Advising the business on VAT treatment of transactions, new initiatives and structural changes
    • Monitoring VAT legislation and ensuring continued compliance as the business evolves
  • Direct Tax Exposure
    • Supporting corporation tax compliance and reporting, working closely with advisors and internal stakeholders
    • Assisting with tax provisions, forecasts and year-end reporting
    • Gaining hands-on experience across UK direct tax matters as part of a broad in‑house role
  • Advisory & Commercial Work
    • Providing tax input into commercial projects, transactions and operational decisions
    • Supporting ad-hoc tax advisory projects, including structuring and business change initiatives
    • Acting as a trusted point of contact for finance and wider business teams on tax-related matters
  • Stakeholder Management
    • Liaising with external advisors and managing deliverables and timelines
    • Building strong relationships with finance, legal and operational teams
    • Contributing to the ongoing development and improvement of in‑house tax processes
