In-House - Corporate Tax Compliance/Reporting Manager
London / Hybrid (Typically 3 days in their Central London office each week)
We are supporting an established financial services group looking to expand their in-house tax team. This role would suit someone who is currently in-house or an individual looking to make the move in-house for the first time.
The role will cover:
- Preparation, review and coordination of UK corporation tax returns and computations for investment banking and support entities
- Managing the end-to-end corporate tax compliance process, including timelines, data collection and liaison with external tax advisers
- Reviewing tax adjustments arising from complex financial instruments, trading activities and banking-specific transactions
- Supporting responses to HMRC queries, compliance reviews and audits
- Monitoring corporate tax payments, instalments and filing obligations
Tax Reporting & Accounting
- Preparation and review of current and deferred tax provisions under IFRS and/or UK GAAP
- Supporting quarterly and annual tax reporting cycles, including close processes and tax reporting packs
- Preparation and review of tax disclosures for statutory accounts and group reporting
- Analysis of deferred tax balances, movements and supporting documentation
- Supporting forecasting of the group’s effective tax rate and cash tax position
What we are looking for:
- ACA and/or CTA qualified (or equivalent)
- Strong experience in UK corporate tax compliance
- Solid understanding of current and deferred tax accounting
- Experience working on tax provisions in a large or complex organisation
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work to tight reporting deadlines
- Financial services experience not needed
