We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced compliance professional to join the compliance team to focus on compliance advisory and manage regulatory risk for this International firm. This role will focus primarily on the UK & Europe with strong interaction on an international basis.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical and commercially focused regulatory advice with a strong understanding of the FCA Handbook and relevant FS regulation.
- Manage internal stakeholders successfully with a compliance business partner approach, operating pro actively and solutions oriented.
- Interpret regulatory requirements across a broad range of compliance topics.
- Develop and review compliance processes and policies.
- Support the compliance team on wider areas such as compliance monitoring, SMCR, conduct and controls.
- Strengthen existing processes to support continuous improvement.
- Lead on advice around regulatory development for this large and growing insurance broker.
Experience:
- Strong knowledge of UK insurance regulation including the FCA Handbook.
- Ability to interpret technical regulations and apply them in a commercially focused application.
- Experience of working in compliance at a senior level within an insurance firm, broker or MGA.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong decision making and ability to influence senior stakeholders.
