We are seeking an experienced Group Tax Manager to take responsibility for the group’s corporate tax obligations, operating on a part‑time basis with flexible working arrangements. The role offers a varied mix of corporate tax compliance, tax reporting and advisory support, and is well suited to a tax professional looking to balance senior‑level responsibility with a flexible schedule.

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring compliance, supporting the business with pragmatic tax advice, and partnering with finance and other stakeholders across the group.

Key Responsibilities
  • Corporate Tax Compliance
    • Manage the end‑to‑end corporate tax compliance process for UK group entities (and oversight of overseas entities where applicable)
    • Prepare or review corporation tax computations, returns and supporting schedules
    • Manage correspondence with HMRC, including enquiries and claims
    • Coordinate and manage external tax advisors as required
  • Tax Reporting
    • Prepare or review quarterly and year‑end tax provisions for inclusion in statutory accounts
    • Support tax disclosures under UK GAAP / IFRS
    • Ensure alignment between tax reporting, statutory accounts and management information
  • Advisory & Business Support
    • Provide practical, commercial tax advice to the business on day‑to‑day matters
    • Support tax input into transactions, restructurings and new initiatives
    • Identify and manage tax risks, working closely with finance, legal and senior stakeholders
    • Keep stakeholders informed of relevant tax developments affecting the business
  • Governance & Process Improvement
    • Maintain appropriate tax controls, documentation and governance frameworks
    • Identify opportunities to improve tax processes and efficiency
    • Support internal and external audits as required
