We are supporting a dynamic and growing family office seeking to appoint a Corporate Tax Manager to join its in-house finance and tax function. This is a broad and varied role, offering responsibility for corporate tax compliance across a diverse portfolio of entities, alongside exposure to advisory and project work as the function continues to evolve and bring activities in-house.
The role would suit a practice-trained tax professional looking to move into industry, or someone already in-house seeking greater breadth and flexibility. This role could be offered on a part or full time basis.
The Role
- Working closely with the Head of Tax and wider finance team, you will take ownership of corporate tax matters across the group, with responsibilities including:
Corporate Tax Compliance (Core Focus)
- Preparation and review of UK corporate tax returns across group entities
- Managing tax payments, forecasting and quarterly instalments
- Supporting year-end tax reporting and tax accounting processes
- Liaising with external advisors on filings and technical matters
- Managing HMRC correspondence, enquiries and tax audits
Family Office / Multi-Entity Exposure
- Supporting tax across a range of structures including companies, partnerships and trusts
- Involvement in UK and international compliance processes (e.g. working with overseas advisors where required)
- Assisting with transfer pricing, intercompany recharges and group tax matters
Advisory & Project Work
- Supporting on ad hoc tax advisory matters across the investment portfolio
- Involvement in structuring, transactions and financing activities
- Supporting the transition of outsourced activities in-house and improving processes
- Working closely with senior stakeholders (CFO, Finance Director, investment teams) on tax-related matters
Wider Responsibilities
- Supporting VAT and indirect tax matters on an ad hoc basis
- Contributing to risk management and governance processes
- Acting as a key point of contact for tax across the business
