The Firm: Our client is an award-winning UK-based law firm based in the heart of the City. They are different to some of their competitors in being able to offer exposure to high-quality international work whilst offering a genuine work/life balance. The Banking & Finance team work with a range of banking institutions and large financial services clients across the range of acquisition and leveraged finance, asset-backed lending, real estate finance, trade finance, corporate lending and structured finance. This includes work for a range of clearing and challenger banks, mortgage lenders and global corporate institutions.

The Role: The role will suit either a Senior Associate/Counsel level candidate looking for a step up to partnership or an existing junior partner looking for a change of scene, where you be afforded freedom to grow your practice alongside genuine respect for your life away from the office. The team’s work typically includes work for:

  • Bridging lenders - a range of structured finance work;
  • Borrower-side finance work involving large corporates and real estate clients;
  • Professional loan services for the financial services industry.

Joining an enterprising and vibrant, but relatively small and collegiate team, you will be seen as a key figure in driving forward the growth and presence of the Finance team in London.

About You: You will be an England & Wales qualified Solicitor either at Senior Associate or Counsel level or an existing Partner with an existing but modest book of business. Given the existing pipeline of work within the team, as well as consistent cross-referrals from other areas of the firm, our client would consider a modest client following in the region of £150-200k upwards. You will ideally have been at a mid-large sized City firm and be looking for a promotion to partnership, whilst also having support from a team of partners around you.
