About the Role
To lead final inspection, packing, and despatch activities in accordance with Pure Electric quality standards, ensuring product safety and conformity, accurate documentation and on‑time delivery. The role includes leadership, training, application of lean principles. This role sits at the heart of our warehouse and workshop operations, ensuring every scooter, part, and return is inspected and despatched in line with the highest safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Quality Control (QC) & Compliance
- Lead final inspection of finished products against specifications, drawings, work instructions, and Pure Electric quality requirements.
- Ensure inspection activities meet documented quality procedures and control plans.
- Identify, record, and elevate non‑conformances, ensuring corrective and preventive actions are implemented.
- Authorise release of finished goods in line with quality procedures.
- Provide training and mentoring in inspection techniques, documentation, Pure Electric Quality requirements, and despatch processes.
- Promote consistent application of quality standards and best practice in consultation with Engineering and QC departments.
- Conduct and lead internal quality audits in line with the agreed audit programme.
- Packing & Despatch
- Oversee safe, secure, and compliant packing of products to prevent damage or deterioration.
- Ensure correct labelling, identification, and customer‑specific requirements are met.
- Coordinate despatch activities to meet delivery schedules.
- Verify order accuracy and completeness prior to despatch.
- Coordinate DPD (carrier) communications and performance.
- Lean, Performance & Deadline Compliance
- Apply lean principles (e.g., 5S, waste reduction, flow improvement).
- Monitor throughput against agreed targets while maintaining quality standards.
- Prioritise workload to meet production plans and customer deadlines.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives for efficiency and on‑time delivery.
- Health, Safety & General Duties
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental requirements.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and audit‑ready working environment.
- Support stock checks, inventory control, and other operational needs.
- Carry out other reasonable duties in support of production and quality objectives.
- Documentation & Records Control
- Ensure all QC, packing, despatch, and audit documentation is accurate and retained per Pure document control requirements.
- Maintain records supporting conformity, traceability, delivery performance, and customer requirements.
- Verify despatch documentation prior to release of goods.
About You
- Proven experience in QC inspection, packing, and despatch within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management systems.
- Experience conducting or supporting internal audits.
- Practical experience and responsibility for training and mentoring.
- Understanding of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles.
- Strong attention to detail, organisation, and documentation control.
- Comfortable working with digital tools such as Monday.com, Excel, and warehouse systems.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across Customer Support and workshop teams.
- Proactive, organised, and able to manage workload independently.
- A problem‑solver who takes pride in accuracy and continuous improvement.
