The Role
Overview
To be an active member of the Group HR team, supporting the Head of HR with the delivery of our people plans across the whole of the Group and its subsidiaries.
To support the HR Business Partners to provide a proactive and commercially focussed generalist HR service that underpins the operation and support business success whilst aligned to our company values.
- HR Advisory and Employee Support
- Act as a first point of contact for managers and employees, providing practical and timely advice on a range of HR matters in line with company policies and employment legislation.
- Support the HR Business Partners in delivering an effective HR service across the business.
- Respond to HR-related queries and provide guidance on policies, procedures and people processes, escalating complex matters where appropriate.
- Assist with employee relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance, capability and absence management cases, supporting investigations and note-taking where required.
- Support managers with sickness absence management, including welfare contact, absence reviews and monitoring absence trends.
- Provide support and guidance on family leave, flexible working requests and other employee lifecycle processes.
- Maintain accurate employee records and ensure HR documentation is completed and filed appropriately.
- Conduct exit interviews and identify themes and trends to support continuous improvement.
- Recruitment, Onboarding and Employee Lifecycle
- Support recruitment activities, including advertising vacancies, arranging interviews, preparing offer documentation and carrying out pre-employment checks.
- Coordinate onboarding activities and deliver HR inductions for new starters.
- Monitor probationary periods and support managers in completing probation reviews.
- HR Administration and Payroll Support
- Maintain and update the HR system, ensuring employee data is accurate and up to date.
- Produce regular HR reports and management information as required.
- Assist with payroll administration, including processing contractual changes, starters, leavers, absence information and other payroll-related data, ensuring information is submitted accurately and within deadlines.
- Support the administration of employee benefits and pension-related activities.
- Culture, Engagement and Development
- Support employee engagement, wellbeing and culture initiatives across the business.
- Promote company values and contribute to initiatives that support employee engagement and retention.
- Support HR projects and people initiatives led by the HR Business Partners.
- General Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with the wider HR team to deliver a professional and customer-focused HR service.
- Assist with the review and update of HR policies, procedures and guidance documents.
- Keep up to date with changes in employment legislation and HR best practice.
- Support organisational change activities and people projects as required.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties commensurate with the role.

- Previous experience in a financial services/professional services organisation
- Previous experience in a regulated industry
- Previous experience in a contact centre environment
- Experience working with HR database systems
