Overview
In this role you will shape and lead the supply and procurement function to ensure materials and products are available to support growth and service performance. You will own end-to-end planning, supplier management and inventory strategies within a cross-functional operations context. You’ll balance strategic supplier initiatives with hands-on problem solving to drive efficiency, resilience and continuous improvement. Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a supply and procurement strategy aligned to business objectives
- Lead the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process to balance demand and supply
- Improve forecasting accuracy and visibility across the supply network
- Strengthen supply continuity, service performance and operational efficiency
- Plan materials and resources to support growth
- Negotiate with suppliers and manage supplier relationships
- Oversee inventory planning and stock performance across locations
- Coordinate supply requirements with manufacturing and external partners
- Analyse data to identify trends and improvement opportunities
- Lead cost reduction, waste elimination and performance initiatives
- Establish and monitor supply chain KPIs
- Identify and mitigate supply disruptions and ensure compliance
- Lead, coach and develop the supply and procurement team
- Support succession planning and HR-related activities
Key requirements
- Significant senior experience in supply chain, procurement or sourcing leadership roles
- Experience leading and developing teams
- Strong supplier management, negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills
- Proven track record implementing strategic supply chain initiatives and driving CI
- Advanced ERP systems knowledge
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Collaborative leadership with high emotional intelligence
- Commercial awareness and ability to influence at all levels
- Knowledge of inventory planning, demand forecasting and supply optimization
- Understanding of international supply networks and import/export requirements
- Lean Six Sigma or operational excellence credentials
- Degree-level qualification or equivalent industry experience
