They have a proven track record of pioneering product innovation and making high quality products that deliver first class performance. As the business continues to grow, they are now seeking to strengthen the team with the appointment of a Production Quality Engineer. This is a newly created role that combines production efficiency with a strong emphasis on quality assurance, continuous improvement, and compliance with industry standards.
Core duties include:
- Design, develop, and optimise manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, yield, and cost performance
- Monitor production activity and identify opportunities to reduce waste, downtime, and defects
- Investigate process and quality issues, implementing robust corrective actions
- Lead root cause analysis using structured tools such as 8D, Fishbone, and 5 Whys
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen)
- Develop and maintain SOPs and work instructions to ensure consistency and control
- Analyse production and quality data to identify trends and improvement opportunities
- Support new product introduction (NPI) and process validation activities
About you:
- Experience in a process, production, or manufacturing engineering role with a strong quality focus
- Good understanding of quality systems and standards
- Exposure to Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies (Green Belt advantageous)
- Strong analytical mindset, with experience using data to drive decisions (SPC, process capability, etc.)
- Proven problem-solver with experience in structured root cause methodologies
- Effective communicator, able to work cross-functionally and influence improvement activities
