As an Assistant Management Accountant, you will support the senior finance team in delivering accurate reporting and maintaining smooth day-to-day finance operations during a period of change.
- Preparing monthly management accounts and supporting the month-end close process
- Posting journals, including accruals, prepayments, and adjustments
- Completing balance sheet reconciliations and resolving discrepancies
- Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow monitoring
- Producing regular financial reports and assisting with variance analysis
- Maintaining data accuracy across finance systems
- Assisting with audit preparation and compliance activities
- Providing wider support across purchase ledger, sales ledger, and transactional finance processes
Key Requirements
- AAT Level 4 qualified or nearing completion
- Experience supporting management accounts and month-end processes
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial controls
- Confident Excel skills and experience using accounting systems
- High attention to detail with strong organisational ability
- Proactive approach with the ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Clear communication skills and a collaborative mindset
