Reference: BH-70327 A well established and growing professional services firm is looking to appoint an experienced Accounts Manager or Senior Accounts Manager to join its expanding Business Services team.
This is a highly client facing position, offering the opportunity to manage a varied portfolio of owner-managed businesses, including limited companies, partnerships and sole traders across a broad range of industries.
You'll act as a trusted adviser to clients, oversee the delivery of high quality accounts services, support junior team members, and play a key role in the continued growth of the department.
This opportunity would suit an ACA/ACCA qualified accountant (or an experienced QBE professional) who enjoys building client relationships, providing commercial advice, and mentoring others within a collaborative practice environment.
Key Responsibilities Managing a portfolio of SME and owner managed business clients.
Building strong client relationships and identifying opportunities to add value through advisory services.
Reviewing statutory accounts prepared for sole traders, partnerships, LLPs and limited companies.
Handling incoming client enquiries and providing practical business and accounting advice.
Managing workflow, deadlines and client expectations to ensure excellent service delivery.
Supporting, mentoring and developing junior team members through coaching and feedback.
Building relationships with third parties and professional contacts where necessary.
About You You will ideally have: ACA or ACCA qualification, or significant relevant experience within accountancy practice.
At least 7 years' experience working within a UK accountancy firm.
Sound technical accounting knowledge with the ability to apply legislation in a practical manner.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain technical information to non-financial stakeholders.
Previous experience managing client relationships and supervising junior staff.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
A collaborative approach and desire to contribute to a positive team culture.
