The role of HR Officer is pivotal in ensuring the HR team is a credible, approachable, and proactive department that supports the organisation's aim to be a great place to work. You’ll achieve this by delivering a service to staff that is timely, accurate, consistent and compliant. You’ll be the first point of contact for advice and support, utilizing your exceptional verbal and written communication skills to share your expertise and knowledge. You’ll understand the importance of compliance and accurate data. Using an organised and methodical approach you’ll keep on top of tasks and take ownership of supporting colleagues with their HR queries. Working with knowledge, passion, and respect you’ll support the rest of the HR team to keep all things ‘employment’ on track.
What you’ll be doing:
• Using your excellent verbal and written skills, respond to all queries within the HR Inbox, escalating where needed, and working in a united way making sure others in the team are aware of themes and trends.
• Work closely with defined business areas, supporting them with their HR needs such as resourcing, performance during probation periods, trouble shooting and training, in partnership with the wider People and Culture Team as needed.
• Take ownership for managing compliance within the employee lifecycle, including offboarding, ensuring letters are produced, spreadsheets/databases are updated, and associated paperwork collected.
• Deliver recruitment activities covering all aspects of the recruitment process and providing advice and guidance to managers on effective and inclusive recruitment.
• Work collaboratively with the rest of the HR team to ensure payroll administration is accurately completed for the monthly cut-off date.
• Champion data accuracy taking responsibility for ensuring data has been entered, stored and is being used correctly.
• Run reports and review data on the HR system, highlighting issues or concerns and working collaboratively to come up with ideas and solutions.
This role is an immediate start for an initial 3 month temporary assignment.
