We're working with a highly respected, innovation focused manufacturer that is investing heavily in new product development. They’re looking for an experienced R&D Manager to lead a multidisciplinary engineering team and own the full NPD life-cycle, from concept through to production handover. This is a fantastic leadership role for someone who thrives in a dynamic, hands-on technical environment and wants to shape a future product roadmap.

Core duties include:

  • Lead, mentor & develop a cross-functional R&D team (mechanical, electrical, software, test)
  • Drive the full new product development process
  • Ensure projects hit timelines, budgets & technical performance targets
  • Oversee design verification, validation & engineering governance
  • Manage change control, ECRs & lifecycle improvements
  • Align closely with Quality, Production, Supply Chain, Operations & commercial teams
  • Play a key role in innovation & long-term portfolio planning

About you:

  • 5+ years’ experience in R&D leadership
  • Degree (or equivalent) in a relevant Engineering discipline
  • Proven record of delivering complex, multidisciplinary products from concept to release
  • Confident, organised and passionate about driving people, process & product excellence
