Job Description
We are seeking an experienced HR Manager to join our client on a part-time basis to lead people operations and shape the people strategy as the business continues to evolve. This role is a hands-on, strategic opportunity to influence culture, support managers, and deliver HR services that enable growth and engagement across the organisation.
Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day HR operations, including employee relations, absence management and HR casework.
- Design and implement recruitment, onboarding and retention initiatives in partnership with hiring managers.
- Advise leaders on performance management, succession planning and talent development.
- Develop and maintain HR policies, ensuring fair, consistent application and compliance with relevant legislation.
- Oversee training and development programmes; identify skills gaps and promote learning initiatives.
- Manage HR systems and reporting; produce people metrics to inform decision-making.
- Support reward and benefits administration and advise on market-aligned practices.
- Drive change-management projects and support cultural initiatives to improve engagement.
Skills & Experience
- CIPD level 5 qualified with proven experience as an HR generalist used to handling a broad range of HR responsibilities.
- Strong knowledge of HR best practice and relevant employment legislation.
- Effective advisory skills with experience supporting managers on disciplinary, grievance and performance matters.
- Practical experience in recruitment, onboarding and performance management processes.
- Solid analytical skills with experience producing HR metrics and reports.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; confidential and professional approach.
This exciting role is offered on 22½ hours a week.
