We are supporting a leading food processor that is expanding at pace as they near record production levels. To complement this growth, they are seeking additional shift engineers to work on a 5on/5off days and nights rotation. Ideally you will have worked within the food sector previously, but this is not essential. The business welcomes applications from engineers with either mechanical or electrical bias.
Core duties include:
- Ensure routine maintenance is carried out to support an upturn in OEE
- Carry out maintenance activities, ensuring that the manufacturing team achieve 100% compliance to the production plan, by minimising engineering downtime
- Carry out engineering work to good standard, safely and in timely manner
- Fully engaged in supporting the engineering maintenance strategy to move from a reactive breakdown philosophy to proactive and preventative maintenance
- To step change the performance and efficiency of the existing plant through continuous improvement techniques
- Ensure workshop is kept to a good standard, clean and tidy
- Keep all tools in good serviceable condition and make sure they are fit for purpose
- Complete Job reports/tickets each shift
