We are supporting a leading international manufacturer in its search for a Purchasing Manager to lead a dynamic procurement function. This is a full-time, permanent role that offers the opportunity to shape supply chain strategy, drive innovation, and lead a high-performing purchasing team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

As Purchasing Manager, you will lead supplier management, sourcing strategy, and procurement improvements, ensuring materials and components are available on time and at the right cost. You will also play a key role in supporting sustainability initiatives and the company’s journey toward Net Zero.

  • Leading and developing the Purchasing Team, ensuring on-time supply and stakeholder satisfaction
  • Managing key supplier relationships, performance, and risk mitigation globally
  • Driving procurement-led cost savings, innovation projects, and sustainability initiatives
  • Overseeing sourcing decisions and supplier assessments to support new projects and product launches
  • Managing procurement KPIs, including on-time delivery, cost performance, and stock levels
  • Collaborating with engineering, manufacturing, and service teams to embed procurement early in projects
  • Leading process improvement across the supply chain, reducing cost and increasing resilience
  • Ensuring compliance with ISO9001, procurement policies, and sustainability standards

Proven procurement experience in a manufacturing environment, with team leadership responsibility. CIPS Level 4 qualification (or above), or equivalent purchasing/procurement certification. Degree in Supply Chain, Business, or Engineering (desirable). Strong commercial negotiation and supplier development skills. Full UK driving licence required.
