Are you a passionate HR professional with a flair for recruitment and onboarding? We are looking for an experienced HR Officer to join our client on a 1 year fixed term contract to deliver a high-quality, customer-focused recruitment service across the organisation. Reporting to the HR Manager, this pivotal role will lead on all aspects of recruitment and onboarding. Working closely with the wider HR team, you’ll ensure a seamless experience for candidates and managers alike. You’ll also contribute to continuous improvement, helping modernise processes and leverage technology to enhance their HR service delivery.
You’ll act as the recruitment specialist, providing expert support and guidance to line managers, managing the Applicant Tracking System (ATS), and championing best practices across all stages of the hiring journey—from attraction and selection to onboarding. In addition, you’ll contribute to the wider transactional HR service, providing support for contract administration, HR systems, and data reporting.
The role:
- Lead the recruitment function, ensuring processes are safe, modern, and efficient
- Maintain and develop the ATS and support hiring managers with its use
- Promote the organisation through job boards, social media, and local job fairs
- Support candidate vetting processes including references, DBS checks, and right to work checks
- Deliver a positive and engaging candidate experience
- Collaborate with internal teams to improve HR systems and processes
- Provide recruitment training and coaching to managers
- Support general HR administration and reporting
About You:
- At least 2 years’ experience in recruitment or a generalist HR role
- Excellent IT skills, particularly in MS Office
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for travel across Norfolk
- Proactive, adaptable, and confident working independently
- Experience using ATS platforms and recruitment policy development
- CIPD Level 3 or equivalent
