A well-respected, progressive company in central Norwich is recruiting an Assistant Accountant to support the Financial Controller. They are looking for a Graduate in Accountancy, Finance, Economics, Maths, or Business who is looking to study ACCA or CIMA.

This is a newly created role offering structured development and broad exposure across Financial Control, FP&A, and Finance Operations.

The role:

  • Assisting with month-end journals, reconciliations, and management accounts tasks
  • Drafting reporting packs for internal and external stakeholders
  • Preparing VAT working papers
  • Supporting audit deliverables and first-line audit queries
  • Maintaining process and control documentation
  • Supporting the budgeting and quarterly reforecast cycle
  • Assisting with the production of KPI and dashboard reporting
  • Running ad-hoc analysis across revenue, cost, and headcount
  • Ensuring data accuracy within FP&A models
  • Daily bank postings, invoicing, and credit control
  • Purchase ledger processing and supplier onboarding check
  • Payment run preparation and expense compliance
  • Monthly reconciliations between finance and CRM systems
