We're excited to be working with a growing engineering and technology business who are seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to lead commercial performance across a portfolio of projects and bids. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys influencing outcomes, managing complexity, and shaping commercial strategy within a fast‑moving organisation.

The Role

You’ll take ownership of commercial and contractual management across multiple programmes, providing insight, challenge, and assurance on commercial, financial, and risk matters.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading commercial management of projects and bids
  • Supporting commercial strategy and translating it into project‑level actions
  • Leading negotiations, including contractual changes and variations
  • Managing commercial risk and opportunity
  • Overseeing pricing, margin protection, and payment structures
  • Drafting a range of commercial agreements (NDAs, MoUs, supplier agreements, collaboration agreements, service contracts, etc.)
  • Working with Supply Chain to develop and negotiate sub‑contracts
  • Managing due diligence on customers and partners
  • Improving commercial processes and performance metrics

About You

You’ll be a commercially astute professional with strong communication and influencing skills, comfortable working across multiple stakeholders and projects.

Experience & skills:

  • 5+ years’ commercial or contract management experience
  • End‑to‑end contract lifecycle management and negotiation
  • Strong understanding of contract law
  • Experience resolving disputes and claims
  • Programme‑level risk, pricing, and margin management
  • Ability to draft and negotiate complex agreements
