This is a key hire for the business, offering the opportunity to take ownership of strategic purchasing activity, influence supplier performance, and play a key role in driving commercial value across the supply chain.
The Opportunity
Working closely with the Procurement Manager, you'll lead on sourcing strategy and supplier engagement across a defined category base. Alongside managing complex negotiations, you'll help shape procurement processes, support continuous improvement initiatives, and provide guidance to more junior team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead sourcing activity, from supplier identification through to contract negotiation
- Manage and develop relationships with key suppliers, ensuring consistency in quality, cost and service levels
- Contribute to the development and delivery of procurement strategy
- Identify and implement opportunities for cost reduction and operational efficiency
- Oversee purchasing activity to ensure continuity of supply and effective stock management
- Monitor supplier performance, resolving any issues relating to quality or delivery
