We are working with a leading medical device developer in their search for a Senior Design Engineer to join their Device Development team. This is an initial 6-month temporary contract, very likely to extend , offering the chance to contribute to innovative projects in a highly collaborative and technical environment. As Senior Design Engineer, you will provide mechanical design input across devices, filling equipment, assembly equipment and test rigs. You’ll be hands-on in creating viable concepts, supporting project timelines, and ensuring compliance with relevant industry standards. Producing high-quality CAD designs for injection moulded components, mechanisms, and test equipment Conducting tolerance analysis (TAN) and risk analysis (FMEA) for designs Writing and reviewing design specifications, validation documents and reports Testing designs in laboratory environments and documenting findings Collaborating with external suppliers and internal development teams to deliver project goals Applying design-for-manufacture principles to support high-volume production Ensuring compliance with ISO 13485, ISO 14971 and other relevant regulatory guidance Mechanical design/engineering background with strong Creo expertise (including surfacing) Experience with rapid prototyping and testing in lab environments Medical device experience is desirable but not essential Immediate start available.
