I’m excited to be partnering with a leading organisation in Cambridge as they look to appoint an IT Manager. This is a senior, hands-on role within a well-established IT function, combining leadership responsibility with day-to-day technical delivery across a complex, multi-site environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a senior escalation point for complex infrastructure, server, and network issues
- Lead day-to-day IT operations, ensuring reliable and high-quality service delivery across multiple sites
- Support the delivery of IT strategy, translating objectives into practical plans and improvements
- Oversee infrastructure, systems, and cyber security across the organisation
- Drive service improvement, technical standards, and operational consistency
- Deliver and support infrastructure projects including upgrades, migrations, and enhancements
- Maintain a hands-on approach, supporting users and resolving technical issues where required
- Line manage and develop the IT team, promoting high standards and collaboration
Experience Required
- Proven experience in a hands-on IT Manager or senior infrastructure role
- Strong Microsoft ecosystem experience (Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Azure)
- Broad infrastructure knowledge including networking, Wi-Fi, firewalls, servers, and cloud platforms
