HR Officer, Full Time

Job Description We are looking for an experienced People Advisor to join a busy HR team on a maternity cover contract for 12 months for a financial company in Southend. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with HR experience who enjoys supporting employees and managers, building positive working relationships, and helping to create a great workplace culture. You will provide HR support across the employee lifecycle, offering practical advice and guidance while ensuring policies and processes are followed effectively. Key Details ~12 month FTC ~09:00 - 17:30, Monday to Friday ~ Starting salary between £30-35k ~ Hybrid working options ~31 days annual leave including bank holidays ~ Excellent benefits package including pension and health cash plan Responsibilities Manage employee relations cases, providing advice and guidance to managers Support HR administration and maintain accurate employee records Produce and analyse HR management information reports Review and maintain HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance Assist with recruitment activities and onboarding new employees Support payroll administration processes Contribute to HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives Experience & Skills Required Previous experience working within an HR role Good understanding of employment law and HR best practice Strong administration skills with excellent attention to detail Confident communicator with the ability to build relationships at all levels Experience managing employee relations cases Experience using HR systems This is a great opportunity to join a supportive and collaborative team where you can make a real impact.
