HR Business Partner

Location: Letchworth Garden City (hybrid – 3 days onsite)

Type: Permanent, full time

I’m supporting a highly reputable manufacturing business with the appointment of an HR Business Partner to join their established and highly collaborative HR team, partnering with UK commercial functions.

This is a hybrid, permanent position based at their Letchworth Garden City head office, with a minimum of three days onsite per week.

The role

Reporting into the HR Manager and working alongside another HRBP, you’ll be part of a wider HR team and act as a trusted partner to your client group, providing practical coaching, advice and support across the full employee lifecycle. The role is genuinely broad and value‑adding, with a strong focus on supporting the business to attract, recruit, develop and retain the right people, aligned to both commercial needs and company culture.

About you

Strong judgement, ability to influence at different levels, and a genuine customer‑focused approach are required. Proven experience in a generalist HR role ideally in a commercially focused environment. Excellent organisational and communication skills and a collaborative, flexible mindset. While experience is important, attitude and enthusiasm matter just as much — this is an organisation that invests in its people and supports long‑term development.

What’s on offer

  • 25 days’ holiday (with the option to buy additional days)
  • Single person private medical cover with Bupa
  • Defined contribution pension scheme
  • Life assurance from day one
  • Occupational sick pay and onsite occupational health service
  • 24/7 confidential life management and personal support service
  • Enhanced family‑friendly policies (maternity, paternity and shared parental leave)
  • Free eye tests
  • One paid volunteering day per year
  • Free onsite parking
  • Long service awards
  • Ongoing learning and development support at all career stages
  • Regular social events, including a Christmas party
  • Retirement planning support

About the business

The business is a long‑established, family‑owned British organisation with two trading divisions, founded in 1919 built on strong values with a commitment to innovation and a genuine focus on belonging and inclusion. Diversity is actively welcomed, and the culture is warm, inclusive and people‑centric.

If you’re an HR professional looking for a well‑rounded business partner role within a supportive, values‑led organisation, I’d love to talk you through the opportunity in more detail.
