Shape the Future of a British Icon
Pure Resourcing is proud to be partnering exclusively with Crittall Windows Ltd, a world leader in the design and manufacture of handcrafted steel windows and doors. For over 175 years, the Crittall name has been synonymous with quality, craftsmanship, and architectural excellence — gracing some of the most prestigious buildings across the globe.
Following significant investment in new manufacturing technology, including advanced CNC machinery and software, Crittall is embarking on a bold journey to modernise its production operations while staying true to its proud heritage.
To help lead this transformation, we are seeking an outstanding Head of Manufacturing — a strategic, forward-thinking leader who can drive innovation, operational excellence, and cultural engagement across a skilled and passionate team.
The Role
This is a pivotal role within the business, reporting directly to the Managing Director and sitting on the Senior Leadership Team. You’ll have the autonomy and influence to shape manufacturing strategy, optimise performance, and embed modern production practices that will secure Crittall’s reputation for generations to come.
Your focus will be on manufacturing and production efficiency, leading continuous improvement, and fostering a culture where innovation thrives alongside craftsmanship. You’ll inherit a capable, committed team — and your ability to inspire, empower, and develop people will be key to success.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a talented production team, creating a culture of integrity, accountability, and high performance.
- Drive continuous improvement through lean and agile manufacturing methodologies.
- Optimise processes and systems, maximising the potential of new technology investments.
- Develop and deliver strategic CapEx plans to improve output, quality, and efficiency.
- Champion sustainability and responsible manufacturing, reducing environmental impact and promoting best practice across the supply chain.
- Balance respect for Crittall’s rich heritage with the courage to challenge convention and modernise processes.
- Report directly to the Managing Director, contributing to business strategy and operational excellence initiatives.
About You
You’ll be an experienced manufacturing leader with a proven ability to deliver change, drive efficiency, and engage teams.
Naturally strategic, you combine technical acumen with strong people leadership and a deep sense of purpose.
You will bring:
- A proven background with Senior leadership experience within a manufacturing environment.
- A track record of delivering measurable improvements in productivity, cost efficiency, and quality.
- Experience of lean manufacturing, process optimisation, and continuous improvement.
- Strong understanding of ERP/MRP systems and data-driven decision making.
- The ability to lead with integrity, inspire through perseverance, and drive a culture of excellence.
Why Join Crittall?
This is a rare and rewarding opportunity to help shape the next chapter of one of Britain’s most distinguished manufacturers. You’ll play a central role in transforming an industry icon — modernising processes, empowering people, and blending innovation with craftsmanship.
Crittall offers a competitive package, including:
- 25 days’ holiday (plus bank holidays)
- Pension scheme
- Sick pay
- Profit-related bonus
