We are seeking a skilled and proactive Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias) to join our team within a heavy plant manufacturing environment. This is a hands-on role where you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving plant equipment to maximise uptime and ensure safe and efficient operations. We are looking for someone motivated by key engineering principles of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement. Your focus will be on Early Equipment Management (EEM) in manufacturing and how this impacts on Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) with a view to improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), the gold standard metric for measuring manufacturing productivity.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on heavy plant and production equipment
- Diagnose and fault-find on electrical systems, PLCs, drives, motors, and control panels
- Support mechanical maintenance activities when required (hydraulics, pneumatics, gearboxes)
- Minimise downtime through effective problem-solving and root cause analysis
- Assist in continuous improvement and reliability projects
- Ensure all work is carried out in line with health & safety regulations and company standards
- Maintain accurate maintenance records
