Finance Assistant – Bury St Edmunds
We’re on the lookout for a detail-driven Finance Assistant to join our friendly and supportive finance team based in Bury St Edmunds. If you enjoy working with numbers, staying organised, and being part of a collaborative environment, this could be a great fit for you.
Responsibilities:
  • Posting purchase invoices into our accounting system
  • Handling bank transactions and making sure everything balances
  • Supporting monthly payment runs and one-off payments
  • Preparing VAT returns
  • Keeping in touch with customers and suppliers as needed
  • Pitching in with general finance admin and occasional ad hoc tasks
You’ll be working alongside a close-knit team reporting to the Financial Controller. It’s a great chance to build your finance experience across a wide range of tasks and get involved in a fast-paced business.
What we’re looking for:
  • A keen eye for detail and great organisational skills
  • Confident using Excel (intermediate level or above is ideal)
  • A problem-solver who’s not afraid to ask questions
  • Discreet and professional when handling sensitive information
  • Friendly, clear communicator
  • A positive team player who’s happy to muck in when needed
