The Role:

  • Taking full ownership of transport planning and execution across multiple sites.
  • Managing the receipt and processing of customer orders, ensuring accuracy and clear communication around deliveries.
  • Planning and coordinating third-party and dedicated haulage requirements.
  • Acting as the first point of contact for all transport-related issues, resolving delays or disruptions proactively.
  • Maintaining live visibility of vehicle movements and responding quickly to issues as they arise.
  • Communicating closely with internal teams and customers to manage expectations and service levels.
  • Planning and coordinating inter-site stock movements, including booking delivery slots and arranging haulage.
  • Maintaining and updating the central transport and logistics planning systems.
  • Driving best practice across transport operations, with a strong focus on efficiency, service, and cost control.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with hauliers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.

About You:

  • Proven experience in transport planning, logistics coordination, or haulage management.
  • Confidence working in a fast-moving, customer-facing supply chain environment.
  • Strong organisational and planning skills, with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Clear and confident communication skills, with the ability to manage a wide range of stakeholders.
  • A proactive, solutions-driven approach and the ability to anticipate and mitigate issues.
  • Strong IT skills, including Excel and Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with transport management or ERP systems (e.g. TMS, SAP) - highly desirable.
  • The ability to remain calm under pressure and juggle multiple priorities effectively.
