The Role:
- Taking full ownership of transport planning and execution across multiple sites.
- Managing the receipt and processing of customer orders, ensuring accuracy and clear communication around deliveries.
- Planning and coordinating third-party and dedicated haulage requirements.
- Acting as the first point of contact for all transport-related issues, resolving delays or disruptions proactively.
- Maintaining live visibility of vehicle movements and responding quickly to issues as they arise.
- Communicating closely with internal teams and customers to manage expectations and service levels.
- Planning and coordinating inter-site stock movements, including booking delivery slots and arranging haulage.
- Maintaining and updating the central transport and logistics planning systems.
- Driving best practice across transport operations, with a strong focus on efficiency, service, and cost control.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with hauliers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
About You:
- Proven experience in transport planning, logistics coordination, or haulage management.
- Confidence working in a fast-moving, customer-facing supply chain environment.
- Strong organisational and planning skills, with exceptional attention to detail.
- Clear and confident communication skills, with the ability to manage a wide range of stakeholders.
- A proactive, solutions-driven approach and the ability to anticipate and mitigate issues.
- Strong IT skills, including Excel and Microsoft Office.
- Experience with transport management or ERP systems (e.g. TMS, SAP) - highly desirable.
- The ability to remain calm under pressure and juggle multiple priorities effectively.
