Job Description We're supporting a leading food production business in their search for an Engineering Lead to join their engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer with leadership experience to take ownership of maintenance operations, drive continuous improvement, and develop a proactive engineering culture. You'll play a key role in ensuring equipment reliability, maximising uptime, and supporting operational performance across the site. Leading and supporting the engineering team to deliver safe, reliable, and cost-effective maintenance activities Providing hands-on support with mechanical and electrical fault finding and breakdown response Prioritising engineering activities in line with production requirements to minimise downtime Leading engineering projects, working closely with suppliers, contractors, and internal stakeholders Developing safe systems of work and engineering procedures Coaching, mentoring, and developing the engineering team to improve capability and performance Monitoring engineering output to ensure high standards of workmanship and compliance Building effective relationships with contractors and ensuring all required documentation and procedures are in place Previous experience leading, mentoring, and developing engineering teams Strong mechanical or electrical engineering background Level 3 qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Experience working within a manufacturing, production, or FMCG environment This is an urgent requirement and applications will be reviewed at speed.
