I am recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturing business for a Stores and Logistics Assistant to join their team on a long-term temporary basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous warehouse, stores, logistics or manufacturing experience who enjoys a varied, hands-on role and takes pride in accuracy, organisation and teamwork.
Working within a busy stores environment, you will play a key role in ensuring materials and products are received, stored and supplied efficiently to support both customer deliveries and production operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Booking in and checking incoming deliveries
- Accurately identifying, storing and locating stock
- Maintaining inventory records using internal systems
- Picking, packing and preparing products for dispatch
- Kitting materials and supplying production teams
- Line-feeding stock to production areas
- Carrying out regular stock and inventory checks
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment
- Supporting other departments as required
Candidate Requirements:
- Previous experience within a stores, warehouse, logistics or manufacturing environment
- Good attention to detail and a strong focus on accuracy
- Good IT skills and confidence using stock control systems
- Good numeracy and communication skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Positive, flexible and reliable approach to work
- Ability to undertake manual handling duties, including lifting up to 25kg
- Willingness to work overtime when required
- A Counterbalance Forklift Licence would be advantageous, although not essential
