Our client is looking for a proactive and highly organised Warehouse Coordinator to become an integral part of their operations team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys balancing practical warehouse responsibilities with administration, logistics coordination, and operational support.
Working closely with operational teams, suppliers, and colleagues across the business, the Warehouse Coordinator will play a pivotal role in ensuring equipment, stock, facilities, and vehicles are managed efficiently and safely, helping projects and services run seamlessly.
The Opportunity
This role would suit an individual who enjoys taking ownership, solving problems, and keeping everything in the right place at the right time.
From coordinating specialist equipment and managing stock levels to supporting fleet operations and overseeing warehouse organisation, the successful candidate will be at the heart of day-to-day operations.
The ideal person will be equally comfortable behind a computer updating records as they are operating a forklift, checking deliveries, or helping colleagues find exactly what they need to get the job done.
This role is working on site in Chelmsford 5 days, 40 hours per week and in return full training will be given.
- What They'll Be Doing
- Equipment & Asset Management
- Coordinating all test equipment movements, including issue, return, hire, repair, and calibration.
- Maintaining accurate equipment records and assisting with updates to the equipment register.
- Supporting operational teams by ensuring equipment and materials are available when required.
- Managing equipment calibration processes, ensuring equipment is sent away, tracked, recorded, and returned with all certification documentation filed correctly.
- Warehouse Operations
- Taking ownership of the warehouse and keeping it organised, safe, secure, and well maintained.
- Receiving and recording deliveries, matching them against purchase orders and delivery notes.
- Allocating job numbers and notifying relevant team members of incoming goods.
- Managing goods-in and goods-out processes while maintaining accurate records.
- Conducting regular stock takes and inventory reconciliations.
- Logistics & Supplier Coordination
- Liaising with suppliers, manufacturers, subcontractors, and internal teams.
- Assisting with equipment repairs, returns, and warranty claims.
- Coordinating the collection, recording, and dispatch of oil samples for specialist analysis.
- Fleet & Facilities Support
- Providing support to the Fleet Coordinator, including vehicle collections and deliveries.
- Operating a forklift for deliveries and warehouse activities.
- Supporting office compliance activities, including Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), workplace inspections, and fire safety checks.
- Health, Safety & Compliance
- Following company purchasing procedures and allocating job numbers where required.
- Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety policies and regulations.
- Helping maintain high standards of safety, security, and tidiness throughout the warehouse and office environments.
- Attending and successfully completing any training relevant to the role.
