As a High-Voltage Electronics Engineer, you will be the technical driving force within the RF Power Project Engineering group. You will champion the product lifecycle of high-reliability, high-voltage (5kV - 60 kV) systems, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to turn complex customer requirements into robust, manufacturable realities.
Your day-to-day will be highly varied, bridging the gap between R&D and manufacturing. You will design sub-systems and circuits to strict cost and compliance targets, steer products through New Product Introduction (NPI) processes, and ensure robust Design for Manufacture (DFM) standards. Beyond new designs, you will act as a technical authority for production support, conducting component-level fault analysis, resolving performance issues, and driving continuous improvement. As a senior figure, you will also monitor market technologies for upgrade opportunities and provide vital mentorship to junior engineers.
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience in product development and power electronic system design.
- Experience working with HV power systems.
- Ability to gain Full UK Security Clearance (SC).
- Degree in Electronic Engineering, or equivalent high-level practical experience.
Core Technical Skills:
- Switch-Mode Power Supply (SMPS) design.
- High-frequency digital and analogue circuit design (ideally within MILSPEC applications).
- PCB design, layout tools, and schematic capture.
- Electrical safety, safe working practices, risk assessments, and mitigation activities.
Desirable Requirements
- Strong knowledge of electrical and RF test techniques and DFMEA/FMEA.
- Experience utilizing ERP/SAP systems.
- Previous experience identifying IPR/patent opportunities and supporting claim generation.
