Maternity Cover – starting in April 2026 for 12 – 14 months
Hybrid working – 3 days a week on-site (Monday, Wednesday and Thursday)
Salary - £40,000 - £50,000 plus 25% discretionary bonus
Location: Cambridge (with travel to London once a month)
Reporting to the COO, this organisation is seeking an organised and proactive operations person to support all aspects of HR operations, health & safety compliance, facilities management and governance activities. Working closely with the HR Lead and COO, this role plays a key part in providing an excellent experience for employees and visitors. You will be the go-to person for the Cambridge office, ensuring the office runs smoothly.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinating HR administration, including HR systems (HRIS), payroll changes, recruitment support, onboarding and offboarding.
- Implementing HR policies, benefits administration, training coordination and employee communications.
- Acting as the Health & Safety lead, including risk assessments, fire safety, DSE assessments and wellbeing initiatives.
- Managing day-to-day facilities for the Cambridge office and supporting alignment with the London office.
- Providing governance and administrative support for Board and Committee meetings, including scheduling, papers and minute-taking.
- Supporting sustainability initiatives and general administrative activities.
You’ll be highly organised, detail-focused and comfortable juggling multiple priorities. Experience in HR coordination, facilities or health & safety is essential, along with strong communication skills and a collaborative approach.
- Educated to A’level standard
- CIPD level 3 qualified or above
- Ability to roll up your sleeves and get stuck into any task big or small
- A passion for using systems is essential, this includes Teams, SharePoint, MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and High Bob (HRIS)
- Experience of minute taking in formal meetings
