We’re recruiting on behalf of a well-established construction company in Southeast Essex, known for delivering high-quality new-build and refurbishment projects. As the business continues to grow, they are seeking a part-time Senior Finance Assistant to support their CFO and wider team.
This is a great opportunity for a hands-on finance professional looking for a varied role within a supportive, office-based environment. This is a permanent role but ideally looking to start on a contract or temp basis to begin with so ideally you will be immediately available.
Key Responsibilities:- Raise client invoices and manage credit control
- Process supplier and subcontractor invoices
- Perform CIS checks and submit returns to HMRC
- Weekly/monthly payment runs and ledger management
- Reconcile bank and credit card statements
- Assist with payroll, pensions, expenses, and timesheets
- Support cashflow forecasting, month-end close & audit prep
- General finance admin and occasional reception cover
- AAT Level 3/4 or 10+ years' experience in a similar role
- Proficient with Xero and Excel (VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, Pivot Tables)
- Construction industry experience beneficial
- Familiarity with Construction Manager and Hubdoc is a plus
- Honest, reliable, and highly organised
- Part-time, permanent role (3 days/week)
