This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive analyst who enjoys working cross‑functionally and influencing decision-making across the business.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Prepare annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and long-term financial plans
- Perform variance analysis (budget vs. actuals) and provide clear, actionable insights
- Analyse production costs, material usage, labour efficiency, and overhead allocation
- Monitor standard costs and investigate cost variances
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements
- Prepare management reports and performance dashboards
- Develop financial models for new projects, capital investments, and capacity or sourcing decisions
- Partner with Operations and Supply Chain teams to improve cost efficiency
- Support Procurement with supplier and cost analysis
- Work closely with Programme teams on margin analysis and project bids
Skills & Experience
The ideal candidate will have 3–7 years’ experience in a financial analysis role, ideally gained within a manufacturing or production-driven environment. They will bring a strong understanding of cost accounting and financial planning principles, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and translate it into meaningful insight. Advanced Excel capability is essential, including the use of pivot tables and financial modelling, while experience with business intelligence tools such as Power BI or Tableau would be a distinct advantage.
Personal Attributes
This role requires a highly analytical and solution-focused individual with strong problem-solving skills. The successful candidate will be comfortable communicating financial information clearly and confidently to non-finance stakeholders across the business. They will be well organised, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities to tight deadlines. A collaborative approach is essential, along with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of cross-functional teams. A flexible mindset and willingness to adapt to changing business needs will be key to success in this role.
