A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Logistics Manager to join a growing and evolving organisation in a newly created, high-impact role. This position offers the chance to take real ownership of logistics operations, driving structure, visibility and performance across an outsourced transport and warehousing model.
The Role
- Oversee the end-to-end movement of goods, ensuring efficient coordination from order through to delivery.
- Manage third-party logistics providers, improving cost transparency and building robust processes within an environment that is still developing in maturity.
- Act as the key link between commercial, operational and supply chain teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage relationships with 3PL providers, hauliers and transport partners, ensuring performance against service levels.
- Oversee inbound and outbound logistics activity, including inter-site transfers and customer deliveries.
- Take ownership of logistics spend, driving cost control, budget management and identifying efficiency savings opportunities.
- Develop and implement reporting structures to improve visibility of logistics performance and costs.
- Act as the escalation point for operational issues, ensuring timely resolution and continuous improvement.
- Build and implement processes and standard operating procedures to enhance operational control.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with supply chain, production and customer service teams to ensure seamless operations.
- Lead and develop a small logistics team, driving engagement and performance.
About You
- Proven experience managing logistics operations, ideally within a 3PL or outsourced model.
- Strong commercial awareness with experience managing budgets and controlling transport spend.
- Confident people leader, able to develop and motivate a team.
- Experience improving processes and introducing structure in complex or evolving environments.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
