An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Accounts Manager to join a forward-thinking and fast-paced business. This is a hands-on role, leading a small finance team and taking ownership of the day-to-day accounting function.
As the Accounts Lead, you will be responsible for the smooth running of the accounts department, working closely with your team to ensure accurate processing and timely month-end close.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee the day-to-day accounts function, working hands-on alongside a small finance team
- Manage month-end and year-end processes, including journals, accruals, prepayments and fixed assets
- Maintain control of sales and purchase ledgers, bank reconciliations and multi-currency transactions
- Prepare, submit and reconcile VAT returns
- Manage intercompany postings and reconciliations
- Maintain financial records, controls and supporting documentation
The successful candidate will be qualified by experience, AAT qualified, or hold a similar level of professional qualification. They will bring proven experience within transactional accounting and/or accounts leadership role, including the supervision or leadership of a small finance team. They will have a strong track record in preparing both month-end and year-end financials, covering areas such as fixed assets, journals, prepayments, accruals and foreign exchange revaluations. The role also requires confidence across payroll, VAT and month-end processes.
