An opportunity has arisen to join a prestigious Cambridge business as a Payroll Administrator. This role sits within a busy Finance team and focuses on ensuring accurate payroll processing while supporting departments with a wide range of payroll queries. It’s an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a high volume, detail driven environment. Within this role you will report to the Payroll Manager. This role is for a fixed term period until the end of July.
As the Payroll Administrator, you will be tasked with the following duties:
- Processing and validating payroll data, setting up new starters and applying correct terms, deductions and statutory requirements.
- Checking HR and departmental entries for leavers, transfers and statutory pay, and recalculating errors when needed.
- Calculating and explaining complex payroll elements including statutory leave, deductions, adjustments and overpayments.
- Providing clear guidance to departments, HR and employees on payroll processes.
As the successful applicant, you’ll bring solid payroll experience, excellent attention to detail and confidence working with complex rules and calculations. You’ll be organised, deadline-driven and able to communicate clearly with a range of stakeholders.
